Heavy is of course relative to the person. What I really mean is that you need to push yourself when strength training.
Those of you who've lifted heavy weights and noticed your appetite increase know what I'm talking about.
When you lift heavy, your body calls on more muscle fibers to do work. Those muscle fibers need energy! That means more muscle working = more calories burning.
𝟐.) 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫.
This might surprise you or even make you scratch your noggin...
We are made up of more water than anything else, so if we're dehydrated our body is NOT running up to speed.
You ever go down a waterslide without any water? It is not very fun or efficient.
Your body is the same way. Your digestion slows down and backs up, your muscles aren't firing properly, and you're basically a space cadet up top.
None of that is a recipe for a healthy metabolism, so bottoms up!

WTH does that jargon mean? It means your body burns calories by digesting protein! How awesome is that!!?!
It's like your digestive system is put through a workout in order to break down and absorb your pal, protein.
Crazy, I know. Just another reason why you hear me harp on you about getting your gosh darn protein in!
