Not everyone is successful off the bat when they pursue their fitness goals.
Sometimes it’s a matter of being in the wrong mindset, or having unrealistic expectations.
But there are 3 qualities that all of my most successful clients have had that has allowed them to continue kicking butt even when they hit rough patches.
𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 #𝟏: 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝.
I encourage clients to dig deep into their current mindset and challenge the way they currently think. The clients who are most successful, take this challenge head on instead of pushing back.
If you keep trying to cling to the things that “once worked” (Weight Watchers, Keto, etc), you miss out on the opportunities that will move you forward now.
𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 #𝟐: 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝.
Everyone hits times where they feel like they’ve stalled. Because we’re not robots (I don’t think), our body doesn’t see progress at a constant rate. - I wish it would, my job would be easier.
It’s the clients who just keep doing the things and trusting the process that ultimately see the results. It’s not easy, but patience is key.
𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 #𝟑: 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭.
It’s uncomfortable to do squats and deadlifts.
It’s uncomfortable to order chicken & veggies instead of the pasta.
It’s uncomfortable to spend extra time to cook a healthy meal that your family might complain about.
But your goals, the results you want - they are all outside your comfort zone.
My most successful clients realize they can’t move forward if they try to keep one foot in the comfort zone.
