Down 25lbs While Waiting for a New Hip!

When Kim and I started working together, she was experiencing excruciating pain in her hips. ⁣

This pain was keeping her from doing most of the activities that she loved doing including gardening and taking her pups for long walks. ⁣

She had 2 main goals when she started the program:⁣

- 𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝟸𝟻𝘭𝘣𝘴⁣

- 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘯⁣

We started by focusing on introducing strength exercises that would build her up while minimizing any additional hip pain. ⁣

As she built up strength, we were able to add more exercise variety without extra pain. ⁣

While she was working on strength with the weights, we started working on small but powerful habits in the kitchen. ⁣

Habits like increasing her protein, water, and veggies.⁣

Kim is the kind of person who just puts her head down and completes the task at hand. ⁣

I never heard excuses. She just followed the plan.⁣

About a month into the program, the doctor told her that she was going to need a hip replacement because previous treatments just weren't providing the necessary relief. ⁣

Unfortunately, she wasn't able to be scheduled for a replacement until the end of December. ⁣

Understandably, she was pretty bummed to know that she had to endure this pain for another 5 months. ⁣

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘒𝘪𝘮 𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦...⁣

Her hip pain made it really difficult to get quality sleep at night. An excuse most people would use to not give 100% towards their goals... but not her. ⁣

She still had a goal she wanted to accomplish before her surgery - 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟓𝐥𝐛𝐬.⁣

She put in 100% to her nutrition goals and pushed as much as she could with her workouts. ⁣

She even did extra bike rides, something that didn't lead to extra hip pain.⁣

Right before her surgery, she did a final weigh-in... 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝟐𝟓𝐥𝐛𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫.⁣

Are you surprised?⁣

As if that wasn't awesome enough, her recovery from a new hip was that of a kid! Something she attributes to her hard work with her workouts. The strength she gained over the previous 6 months paid dividends in her recovery!⁣

I guarantee that Kim will continue kicking ass because her mindset is her strongest asset!
